"Breaking Bread ... Breaking AIDS"
3 Guys And A Stove (Huntsville), is donating 50 cents of every lunch ordered 7 days a week and every weekend breakfast ordered, effective immediately. This will also apply to take-out orders. What a tremendous difference this will make for the children in the village of Phonjwane, Swaziland! One hot, nutritious mid-day meal they have not had until this feeding program.
Kara who works for Missionary Ventures Canada and who has been to Phonjwane, Swaziland says that ... the children are informed that lunch is their responsibility but most of them are unable to bring food so therefore they simply do not eat... Kara goes on to say, " (is) heart breaking to see some of the older kids (who do bring food) rationing their food and making sure that the younger ones get enough. 3 Guys And A Stove is working to change that in the village of Phonjwane, Swaziland.
Jeff is a part of nutritious meal planning and excited to be working with Hlalisile who utilizes local and available foods. Missionary Ventures Canada is keeping Jeff informed of needs that arise to make this feeding program a success.

The children attend the school in the little village of Phonjwane. (Pawn-jaawn-ee) The teacher, a loving, caring lady named Hlalisile (Hal-la-see-lee) works tirelessly to teach and with this program, feed the children who walk for miles to attend  school. Sadly, Swaziland holds the world's highest known rates of HIV/AIDS infection.
"Over 50% of the children of Swaziland have at least one family member with AIDS. Some of the children at Hlalisile’s school have AIDS passed down from their parents. Many of the children’s parents have died of AIDS and now Grandparents are raising these children. Vaccines for preventable diseases through effective immunization are free of charge yet an alarming number of families cannot afford to pay for transportation to the clinic, where the vaccines are offered. Through the Breaking Bread...Breaking AIDS children’s feeding program, the vision is to provide daily nutritious meals, thus eliminating the difficult choice of food or vaccines. Together, nutritious food and vaccines go a long way to prevent illnesses such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria, malnutrition and HIV infection."
Jeff Suddaby of 3 Guys And A Stove is providing a way for the Huntsville community to participate in this project. Jeff says, "It is our hope our community will rally with us, in partnership with Missionary Ventures Canada, to raise funds supporting this lifesaving nutrition program in Swaziland. We want to help break the scourge of hunger and AIDS in Africa."
